Elik: one who has eyes
I have to say that like very few poetry books I’ve read, Coyote Wind builds momentum as it goes on, creating unusual intensity in the last few poems. Despite the apparently narrow focus, there’s great variety of tone and subject matter, so the book as a whole also constitutes a poem on a grander scale. It’s really masterful.
